One or more PDFs · up to 100 MB each

Your files never leave your device - processing happens in your browser.

Counting reads only each file's page structure — the PDFs themselves are never changed, and nothing is uploaded. Password-protected or damaged files are flagged instead of counted.

A PDF page counter is a tool that reads PDF files and reports how many pages each one contains. FreeToolsKit's counter accepts one or more PDFs and shows each file's page count plus the total across all files, so you can check a stack of documents without opening them one by one. Counting runs in your browser with the pdf-lib library — your files never leave your device.

How do you count PDF pages?

  1. Drop your PDFs onto the panel or choose them with the button — one file or several, up to 100 MB each.
  2. Wait a moment while each file is read; its page count and size appear in the list beside its name.
  3. Use “Add more PDFs” to add further files — the total pages update as the list grows.
  4. Press “Copy counts” to copy the per-file counts and total, or “Download summary” for a text file of the same list.
  5. Remove a single file with the × beside it, or press “Reset” to clear the whole list and start over.

What is the PDF Page Counter used for?

  • Checking the total page count of a set of chapters before sending them to a printer.
  • Verifying that a scanned contract really has every page before signing it.
  • Adding up the pages of several reports for a page-count quote or submission limit.
  • Confirming a download finished whole by comparing its page count with the source.
  • Sorting a folder of PDFs by length before deciding which ones to read first.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?

No. Counting runs in your browser using the pdf-lib JavaScript library. Your documents never leave your device, are never stored and cannot be seen by anyone else.

Is this PDF page counter free?

Yes — free, with no sign-up. You can count as many PDFs as you like, and the counts can be copied or downloaded without charge.

Does counting change my PDF files?

No. The counter reads only each file's page structure to get its page count. The original files are never modified, re-rendered or compressed.

What happens with a password-protected or damaged PDF?

It is flagged in the list with a plain message — password-protected files ask you to remove the password first — and it is left out of the totals instead of being counted.

Is there a size limit?

Each PDF can be up to 100 MB. There is no limit on how many PDFs you can add, though very large sets take longer to read one by one.
