A PDF rotator is a tool that turns the pages of a PDF document by 90 or 180 degrees. FreeToolsKit's rotator runs the pdf-lib library inside your browser: upload one PDF, choose 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise or 180°, rotate every page or just the pages you pick, then download the corrected file. Your file never leaves your device — nothing is uploaded to a server.
How do you rotate a PDF?
- Drop your PDF onto the panel or choose it with the button — up to 100 MB.
- Choose the rotation: 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise or 180°.
- Pick “All pages” to rotate the whole file, or “Selected pages” and type pages like 2 or 1-3.
- Press “Rotate PDF” and wait for the progress bar to finish — you can cancel at any time.
- Download the rotated file with the download button, or press “Rotate another” to start over.
What is the Rotate PDF used for?
- Fixing a scanned document that saved sideways before emailing it to someone.
- Turning one upside-down page inside a long report without touching the rest.
- Correcting phone photos that became a PDF in portrait when they were shot in landscape.
- Preparing a contract so every page reads top-to-bottom before it is shared.
- Fixing presentation handouts exported as PDF with the slides on their side.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. Rotation runs in your browser using the pdf-lib JavaScript library. Your document never leaves your device, is never stored and cannot be seen by anyone else.
Is this PDF rotator free?
Yes — free, with no sign-up and no watermark on the rotated file. You can rotate as many PDFs as you like.
Will rotating reduce the quality of my PDF?
No. Rotation changes each page's orientation setting without re-rendering its content, so text, images and layout stay exactly as sharp as the original.
Can I rotate only some pages?
Yes. Choose “Selected pages” and type pages like 2 or 1-3, separated by commas. Pages are numbered from 1, and a page beyond the file's page count is rejected with a plain-English message.
What if a page is already rotated?
The new angle is added to the page's existing rotation. So a page already turned 90° that you rotate 90° clockwise again ends up at 180° — upside down — rather than back at the start.
