A PDF to JPG converter turns each page of a PDF document into a separate JPEG image. FreeToolsKit's converter renders every page in your browser at 72, 150 or 300 DPI with an adjustable JPEG quality, using the pdf.js library — you download the images one by one or all at once as a ZIP. Your PDF never leaves your device — nothing is uploaded to a server.
How do you convert a PDF to JPG?
- Drop your PDF onto the panel or choose it with the button — up to 100 MB.
- Pick the image resolution: 72 DPI for small web images, 150 DPI as the balanced default, or 300 DPI for print-crisp output.
- Move the JPEG quality slider (10% to 100%, default 90%) to trade file size against sharpness.
- Press “Convert to JPG” and wait for the progress bar to reach the last page.
- Download each image separately, or take them all at once with “Download all as ZIP”.
What is the PDF to JPG used for?
- Turning a signed contract page into an image to paste into a slide deck.
- Sharing one page of a long PDF in a chat app that only accepts images.
- Converting a scanned booklet into images for an app that displays pages as photos.
- Making a 300 DPI image of a poster page for a print shop that needs JPEGs.
- Posting a page of a report on social media without uploading the whole file.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. Conversion runs in your browser using the pdf.js JavaScript library. Your document never leaves your device, is never stored and cannot be seen by anyone else.
Is this PDF to JPG converter free?
Yes — free, with no sign-up and no watermark on the converted images. You can convert as many PDFs as you like.
What resolution should I choose?
72 DPI makes small images suited to web uploads, 150 DPI is the balanced default for everyday use, and 300 DPI produces large, crisp images suited to printing. Higher DPI takes longer and makes bigger files — for example a letter-size page at 300 DPI is about 2550 × 3300 pixels.
Is there a limit on file size or page count?
One PDF at a time, up to 100 MB. There is no fixed page limit, but a very long PDF at 300 DPI can take a while on a slow device — everything still runs locally in your browser, and you can cancel at any time.
What happens if my file is not a valid PDF?
It is flagged with an error when you add it and conversion never starts. Password-protected PDFs cannot be converted because their pages cannot be read — remove the password in your PDF reader first.
